Claude Code v2.1.86 was released 2026-03-27. Key changes: added X-Claude-Code-Session-Id header to API requests for session tracking; added .jj (Jujutsu) and .sl (Sapling) to VCS exclusion lists; fixed --resume failing on older sessions with tool_use id mismatches; fixed Write/Edit/Read failing on files outside project root with conditional skills; improved prompt cache hit rate for Bedrock/Vertex/Foundry users; optimized Read tool with compact line-number format. Previous tracked version was 2.1.85.

ODS Impact
ADLC pipeline and all ODS agents run on Claude Code. The session-Id header and --resume fix improve reliability for long-running agent sessions. The Read tool optimization reduces token consumption. Update recommended.
